IESF summit in Busan

And eight. The International Electronic Sports Federation (IESF) has announced that it will be holding its eighth world summit at the end of the month. Unsurprisingly, it will be held in the South Korean city of Busan, the organization’s world headquarters. The World eSports Summit will take place on November 28 and 29 at the BEXCO Convention Hall, in the presence of the sector’s top and bottom brass, including delegates from the IESF’s 140 member federations, brand representatives and the eSports industry. It will be the first since the handover of the IESF presidency from Vlad Marinescu to Saudi Prince Faisal Bin Bandar Bin Sultan Al Saud. This eighth summit comes at a crucial time for eSports, just a few weeks after Thomas Bach’s announcement at the 141st IOC Session in Mumbai of the Olympic body’s intention to create an eSport Olympic Games.
