ICF goes online

Virtual sport is still gaining ground in the Olympic world. Meeting face-to-face for the first time in more than two years, the International Canoe and Kayak Federation (ICF) Council approved the creation of a virtual competition on Tuesday 7 June in Poznan (Poland). It will allow the world’s best athletes to compete online, individually or within their clubs. This first virtual competition, inspired by the Virtual Indoor Sprints in rowing, will be organised by the ICF in partnership with the American brand Kayak Pro, which specialises in the manufacture of canoe-kayak ergometers.
