It’s time for alliances and cooperation agreements in the Olympic movement. The Paris 2024 OCOG took advantage of the Tokyo Games to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Milan-Cortina 2026 team. The next on the list will cross the oceans. The city of Tokyo announced the upcoming signature of a cooperation agreement with Los Angeles. It is not directly related to the Olympic Games, but it should include some clauses to exchange best practices and expertises related to the Games. The agreement will be signed remotely on Friday, August 27th, by Yuriko Koike, the Governor of Tokyo, and Eric Garcetti, the Mayor of Los Angeles.
