At its meeting last weekend, the International Skating Union (ISU) Council allocated a handful of competitions on the European and world calendars for the coming seasons. For the 2024/2025 season, the figure skating Grand Prix will comprise six stages plus a Final. It will begin in the United States (Skate America) in mid-October, and finish in early December with the Final in Orléans, France. In the meantime, the circuit will have made stops in Canada, France, Japan, China and a country yet to be determined. It should be noted that the 2024/2025 Grand Prix has so far only visited French ice rinks in Europe. Another decision: the ISU Council has awarded Lausanne the European Figure Skating Championships in 2027. The Olympic capital will host the event from 25 to 31 January.
