France has completed its list

It’s done. The French National Olympic Committee (CNOSF) completed the list of athletes selected for the Beijing 2022 Winter Games on Sunday 23 January, less than two weeks before the Games begin. Brigitte Henriques, the president of the CNOSF, will commit 87 French athletes (including two substitutes) to the organising committee on Monday 24 January. An almost complete list had already been announced, but it was completed by five new names, all from alpine skiing, at the end of the World Cup races held over the weekend in Kitzbühel, Austria. The final French selection is composed of 50 men and 37 women. It is represented in biathlon, bobsleigh, Nordic combined, figure skating, short track speed skating, ski jumping, freestyle skiing, alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and snowboarding. At the 2018 PyeongChang Games, the French Olympic team numbered 108 athletes. It won 15 medals, equalling the record set at the 2014 Sochi Games, including five gold, four silver and six bronze.
