Eastern Europe will take a double blow

Head east for the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF). Meeting by virtual means on Friday 27th November, the general assembly of the Association of European Olympic Committees (EOC) proceeded to the attribution of the event for the year 2025. In its winter version, it will take place in the city’s neighbours of Borjomi and Bakuriani, Georgia. For summer 2025, the EYOF will be organised in Brno, Czech Republic. Reserved for athletes aged 14 to 18, the EYOF takes place every two years. The next edition is to be held in 2021, respectively in Kosice (Slovakia) for the summer, and Vuokatti (Finland) for the winter.
