Canoeing, taekwondo and modern pentathlon will see Poland

Less than three years before the event, the Association of European Olympic Committees (EOC) unveiled the first three sports on the program of the next edition of the European Games, scheduled for 2023 in Krakow and in the Małopolskie region (Poland). This first trio is composed of canoe-kayak slalom, modern pentathlon and taekwondo. The first two sports will make their European Games debut. Taekwondo, on the other hand, was already present at the first edition of the continental event, held in Baku in 2015. The three sports chosen by the EOC were included in a provisional selection, already presented by the European body. For these three disciplines, the European Games will be part of the qualification process for the 2024 Paris Games. In the case of the canoe-kayak slalom and the modern pentathlon, the 2023 European Games in Krakow and in Malopolskie will serve as championships. Europe.
