Call for applications for young leaders

It’s on. On Thursday 15 September, the IOC officially launched the call for applications for the sixth edition of its Young Leaders Programme. It will be open for just over a month, until 20 October 2022. Any young person wishing to use “the power of sport to make a positive difference in their community” can try their luck by proposing their project. The selection of the 25 new IOC Young Leaders will begin with a mandatory four-week training course. Once this first step is completed, and on the basis of the project idea submitted, the selected winners will benefit from a full programme over four years. It will provide them with CHF 10,000 in funding, a support network, tools and skills to become “successful social entrepreneurs and make a positive impact through sport”. The IOC Young Leaders Programme was launched in 2016. It is supported by Panasonic, one of the Olympic body’s global partners in the TOP marketing programme. To date, 141 projects have been supported around the world by 90 young leaders from 66 countries. No less than 18 of them have joined one of the IOC Commissions
