Brazil vaccinates its athletes

One more. Brazil joined the movement, Friday, May 14th, by starting its vaccination campaign for athletes, coaches, officials, but also journalists, supposed to go to Japan for the Tokyo Games. A first group of 1,800 people was vaccinated in six cities of the country, including a large majority of Olympic and Paralympic athletes. Brazil is one of the hardest hit countries by the COVID-19 pandemic, with more than 428,000 deaths, the highest number in the world after the United States. Many nations have interrumpted flights from Brazil. More than 1,000 people die because of the virus every day.
