Between virtual and face-to-face

The next few months will be busy for the International Festival of Extreme Sports (FISE). The multisport event created and managed by the French company Hurricane Group announces three world events this year, two of which will be face-to-face. Topping the list are the World Urban Cycling Championships, organised with the International Cycling Union (UCI), from June 4th to 8th in Montpellier, in the south of France. They will take place behind closed doors. In the wake, or almost, a second edition of FISE in virtual mode, initiated last year as a response to the health crisis. But, this time, it will be dedicated to the juniors. The E-FISE junior, open to all practitioners aged 16 and under, will offer them the opportunity to make a video of their best figure, in BMX, skateboard, roller or freestyle scooter, then post it on a dedicated digital platform. Finally, it will all come full circle with the return of FISE in face-to-face mode, from September 3th to 5th, still in Montpellier. A series of BMX, skateboarding, rollerblading and freestyle scooter demonstrations and competitions will take place over three days on a Spine Ramp. In parallel, a stage of the Parkour World Cup will be held at the same place. An adapted health protocol will be established to be able to welcome the public in the best safety conditions.
