Belgian athletes to be vaccinated as a priority

Belgian athletes can breathe: they will be vaccinated in time for the Tokyo Games. An agreement has been found between the Belgian Olympic and Interfederal Committee, the National Paralympic Committee, and the political authorities. They plan to place those selected for the Games in a good position on the list of people to be vaccinated as a priority against COVID-19. The protocol was announced Monday, April 19th, on the sidelines of an interministerial health conference. No date has yet been set, but the vaccination procedure will begin “as soon as possible“. No less than 170 doses will be available for Olympic athletes, 50 for Paralympics and 200 for coaching. The vaccinations will all take place at the Heysel center in Brussels.
