Archery and Muay Thai join the program

Just over two years from the event, preparations for the 2023 European Games in Poland were rocked by a conflict between the city of Krakow and the Polish government. But the sports program is gradually strengthening. The Association of European Olympic Committees (EOC) announces that it has integrated two new sports. The first, archery, is a regular at the continental meeting, having already been present at the first two editions, organised respectively in Baku in 2015 and Minsk in 2019. The second, muay-thai, also known under the name of Thai boxing, will debut at the European Games. It will respect the rule of gender equality, with seven categories for women and men, plus two mixed team events.
