An American voice for sea rowing

It was time to think about it. More focused than ever on the inclusion of sea rowing and beach sprinting in the Olympic programme for the Los Angeles 2028 Games, World Rowing wants to give these two disciplines a boost. The body, chaired by Frenchman Jean-Christophe Rolland, has chosen an American voice for this purpose. It has announced that it has done business with Alan Roach, known in the United States as the voice of the NFL and its major event, the Super Bowl. Real name Kelly James Burnham, the Minnesota-born announcer has hosted an impressive series of sporting events in American football, ice hockey, football, baseball and rugby. In particular, he hosted the Olympic hockey tournament at the Salt Lake City 2002, Turin 2006, Vancouver 2010 and Sochi 2014 Winter Games. The announcement of his collaboration with World Rowing comes in the wake of the recent world championships in sea rowing and beach sprinting, held in the Italian town of Barletta.
