An ambassador named Lilian Thuram

Preparations for the 2023 Jeux de la Francophonie in Kinshasa (July 28-August 6) are gaining momentum. On the construction sites, especially, but not only. A little more than four months before the opening, the sporting and cultural event has three international ambassadors, the former soccer player Lilian Thuram, the basketball player Diandra Tchatchouang and the table tennis player Sarah Hanffou. The first of the trio is not the least involved, since he will attend this week in Kinshasa a seminar on the impact of sport on moral and physical health, organized by the International Committee of the Jeux de la Francophonie (CIJF), the local organizing committee (CNJF) and the University of Kinshasa. The world champion with the Blues in 1998 will also meet with school children and players from clubs in the capital of the DRC. Diandra Tchatchouang and Sarah Hanffou have both created associations dedicated to sport and its accessibility.
