Airbnb’s good accounts

The numbers speak volumes. According to a study by Deloitte, more than half a million visitors are expected to stay in accommodation offered by the rental platform Airbnb during the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This is approximately double the overall number of travelers hosted in the Paris region during the same period last year. The study anticipates that stays on Airbnb during the event should generate more than €1 billion for the French economy. This includes revenue from Airbnb hosts, traveler spending at local restaurants and businesses, and indirect impact on various sectors of the economy. Finally, no less than one in five Paris region residents are considering becoming a first-time host during the Paris 2024 Games. In detail, hosts in the Paris region are expected to earn about 2,000 euros in additional revenue on average during the Games.
