World Rugby is continuing its development in Africa. With a priority target: young people. The body has announced the return in 2023 of two men’s tournaments that have not been organised since the beginning of the pandemic, the World Rugby Championship and the Under 20 Trophy. Both will be held on the African continent. The U20 World Championship, which brings together the world’s top 12 nations in this age group, will be held in Cape Town and the Western Cape, South Africa, from 24 June to 14 July. South Africa will also host the competition in 2024. The U20 Trophy, which will be contested by eight national teams from five continents, is scheduled to take place in Nairobi, Kenya, from 15 to 30 July.
