Abu Dhabi unveils its image

Less than eight months before the 15th edition of the World Short Course Swimming Championships (25m), scheduled for December 16-21, 2021 in Abu Dhabi (UAE), the organisers unveiled the logo of the competition. Not surprisingly, it represents a swimmer. But, subtly, his image is made of a multitude of pearls. A choice meant to symbolise the past and the present, highlighting the tradition of pearl diving in Abu Dhabi and the United Arab Emirates. The World Short Course was supposed to be held last year, but they have been postponed for a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The competitions will take place at the Etihad Arena, the largest multi-purpose venue in the United Arab Emirates, opened in 2020 and located on Yas Island. It will also host the FINA world convention, organised on the sidelines of the Worlds.
