It makes sense. The International eSports Federation (IESF) has announced the location and dates of its next World Summit, the seventh in history. It will take place from 29 September to 2 October 2022 in Busan, the South Korean city where the body’s headquarters are located. For the occasion, the event will have a new visual identity. Held at the Busan Esports Arena, the Summit will also be accessible remotely, in virtual mode. It should bring together representatives of the 128 national federations that are members of the IESF. Among the topics on the agenda are the future of e-sports, new trends and globalisation. The IESF has organised a World Summit every year since 2016. The second World Esports Academia Seminar will be held in Busan on the sidelines of the Summit to promote and activate academic research in e-sports. The 14th World eSports Championships will be held in Bali, Indonesia, from 1 to 12 December 2022.
