A stand up for auction

Unpublished. Just over three years from the 2024 Paris Games, the Hauts-de-Seine department has decided to sell the metal stand of the Yves-du-Manoir stadium in Colombes. But, surprise, the sale will be at auction, from May 18th to 21st, 2021, on the Agorastore platform. The grandstand of the legendary Paris Games stadium in 1924, where athletics and ceremonies took place, is sold in its entirety (roof and structure), namely 4 935 seats, with 7 aisles and 61 rows. Starting bid: 182 999 euros. The Hauts-de-Seine department, owner of the stadium since 2002, explains that the sale of this stand, unsuitable for the future configuration of the enclosure, will help achieve its objective of environmental excellence, with reuse or the reuse of materials. The Yves-du-Manoir stadium in Colombes must be renovated for the 2024 Paris Games, where it will host the field hockey events.
