The Australians are off and running. With more than ten years to go before the event, the Brisbane 2032 Organising Committee has officially recruited its first two employees. The duo is composed of one man and one woman. Rebecca Masci and Brandon Keane, both from Queensland, are the first two full-time recruits for Brisbane 2032. Rebecca Masci will take on the role of executive director of strategic engagement, brand and marketing. She previously worked in the private sector with her own consultancy, including a stint with the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Organising Committee. The second, already involved in the bid, will be responsible for governance issues and relations with the Olympic family. As a reminder, the Brisbane 2032 Organising Committee has been chaired since last April by Andrew Liveris, the former CEO of the Dow Chemicals Group.
