The International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) is breaking new ground. It took advantage of the recent World Championships last week in Bern, Switzerland, to organise its first Athletes’ Forum. Moderated by Peter Stafford, a long-standing IFSC consultant, the forum focused on three themes: the athletes’ commission, the health and well-being of competitors, and the qualification process for the Paris 2024 Games. The first of the day’s three sessions gave the floor to the Chair of the IFSC Athletes’ Commission, the British Shauna Coxsey, the Vice-Chair, the Canadian Sean McColl, and a representative of the IOC Athletes’ Department, Arthur Milroy.
