A draw in show version

FIBA innovates. With a priority: the show. The world authority of basketball lifted the veil on the evening of the draw of the 2023 Men’s World Cup, scheduled for April 29 at the Arenata Coliseum in Manila, Philippines. It will be a show mixing sports and music. The former Argentine player Luis Scola, appointed by FIBA as World Ambassador of the 2023 World Cup, will be one of the stars, along with another legend of the world basketball, the German Dirk Nowitzki, president of the FIBA Players’ Commission. On the music side, the evening will feature performances by California hip-hop artist Saweetie, Filipino singer Sarah Geronimo and Filipino-American singer, songwriter, actor and TV host Billy Crawford. Broadcast live and in full on the official FIBA 2023 World Cup website, FIBA’s YouTube channel and the official streaming platform Courtside 1891, the draw will also be shown by the event’s broadcasters in the three host countries: ONE Sports in the Philippines, TV Asahi and Nippon TV in Japan, MNC Sports in Indonesia. Held from August 25 to September 10, the 2023 Men’s World Cup will be the first ever to be held in three countries, Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines.
