A new catch for the International Testing Agency (ITA). It announced that it has been mandated by the Association of European Olympic Committees (EOC) to take charge of the anti-doping programme at the Games of the Small States of Europe (GSSE), to be held from 28 May to 3 June 2023 in Valletta, on the island of Malta. The event will bring together athletes from nine small European countries, including Monaco, Andorra, San Marino, Iceland and Luxembourg. It is organised every other year and brings together around ten sports disciplines. The control system will be implemented in collaboration with the Malta 2023 Organising Committee and the Maltese National Anti-Doping Organisation. As part of its partnership with the EOC, the ITA was already managing the anti-doping programme at the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival (EYOWF) 2023 in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy. It will continue its mission later this year at the European Games in Poland, and at the European Youth Olympic Summer Festival in Maribor, Slovenia.
