A coin for history

Unprecedented. With 1000 days to go before the opening of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, the Monnaie de Paris is launching the first ever coin representing a Paralympic sport: wheelchair tennis. It is the first of a sports collection of 18 coins, representing Olympic and Paralympic sports. They will be unveiled progressively until 2024. On the front, an illustration of the player in action. On the reverse, a view of Paris where the Seine looks like an athletics track, with the Eiffel Tower in the background. This first Paralympic coin was minted in a mintage of 7,500 pieces. Its price: 80 euros for the silver version, 715 euros for the gold model.
